Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Torres Community Shelter! Our volunteers do an amazing amount of work at the shelter, and we absolutely could not exist without them.
How to Volunteer:
Please read the opportunities below to get an idea of our areas of need. If you feel like you are a good fit for one or more of those areas, please fill out our Volunteer application below.
Monitoring Assistants/Daily Living Sevices
Assists our staff in providing services for the guests. There are both morning and evening shifts available.
An evening meal is served each evening at 6pm. Meal providers prepare, cook, service and clean up after their dinner service. This is a great option for groups: friends, church groups, service clubs, etc.
There are many additional onsite services our guests would benefit from: haircuts, chiropractic care, kids’ activities, games or recreation activities, musical events, and classes (crafts, resume development, etc)
